Green energy is the term used to describe any energy produced from non-renewable natural sources, including wind, water or sunlight. Solar power is one of the most reliable green energy sources, because it is based on the photoelectric effect – a phenomenon that occurs when light is hit by an electron (and that electrons come in all different shapes and sizes), which then causes a release of a measurable amount of energy. In theory, using photovoltaic panels to create energy for your home should reduce your need for conventional electricity by about 75%. However, not all solar cells are efficient enough to meet that criteria, and even if your panel does work, it will only do so if you are sitting in the sun for hours on end.

Wind power is another popular green energy option, which harnesses the inherent energy in wind. It is widely regarded as a more environmentally friendly form of energy, but it is also much more costly than solar energy or hydroelectricity. One way of using geothermal energy to produce electricity is through a process called “geothermal heating”. This process involves using the earth’s heat to boil water. The water is then stored in pipes connected to the geothermal heating system. The heated water is then used to heat a household’s swimming pool or hot water heater. Although this may sound like an extreme way of using geothermal energy, it is a great example of how using natural sources of energy can be used efficiently.

An industrial customer will pay a technician to drill into their borehole, pump out the natural gas or oil, and then inject the “Crack” mixture into the borehole. Methane is the most commonly used element in these injections. After the Methane has been mixed with the water, it is injected into the borehole at very high pressure. This high pressure and duration of the injecting of Methane into the borehole, determine how much heat is produced.
Geothermal energy has many benefits. This includes eliminating traditional electricity sources, as well as eliminating fossil fuels from the picture altogether. The Earth’s heat can easily be tapped into instead of relying on unreliable and harmful forms of energy that are not clean and renewable. Many countries all over the world are now using geothermal energy to supplement their power needs. With the alarming numbers of carbon dioxide and other pollutants being dumped into the atmosphere, it is only a matter of time before we all utilize this alternative form of energy.
